Hall

Here a few photographs on our Petromax meeting which took place in Hall, the Netherlands, in June of 2003. The meeting was organized by Wim van der Velden who is a collector of pressure lanterns. About 60 persons were present. Most of them came from Germany and Switzerland. Two persons from the UK a few from the Netherlands. It was quite a happening as you can see from the pictures. Especially during the evening it was like a fairy tale. All over the camp site were lanterns burning. People had even built frames to hang on the lanterns. Not only Petromax but you could find here the most rare lanterns. For a collector of pressure lanterns the Petromax meeting was a special occasion to meet other collectors and to discuss these items only. My brother and I were the only persons who had taken a number of pressure stoves from our 'Dutch Stove Collectors' collection.
